Thia Thomalla bids pageantry goodbye

Thia Thomalla, 2018 Miss Eco International, is no longer keen on competing as beauty queen.

Blame it on the pandemic.

The Filipino-German hottie from Leyte actually intended to stage a comeback in 2020 but the lockdowns put a halt to her plans.

“Nung 2020 talaga dapat yung comeback ko and sad to say, God has other plans. Tanggap ko naman," she told us.

Well, she could try and join pageants in the coming months what with restrictions seemingly easing up, we suggested.

But Thia countered, “I’m turning 27 this month, so papunta na sa disqualification age kaya hindi na talaga pwede kaya mag-move on na tayo. Wala na po akong plans,”

In any case, she is happy having found a new career path as actress.

She is set to appear in GMA-7's "First Lady."

Thia attested, "I’m really happy (with) where I’m at right now. I'm enjoying myself.”
