The camp of presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. said Wednesday the individuals that supposedly threatened to kill Marcos Jr. already surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Lawyer Vic Rodriguez, Marcos Jr.'s spokesman said they were informed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) about the surrender of the suspect and they will work on it "to know the extent of his threat."
For now, Rodriguez said, they are only taking care in terms of informing the public, including the media, about Marcos Jr.'s campaign activities because of the alleged kill plot.
"More than yung seriousness ng kanilang pananakot, gusto namin malaman how extensive kasi nakakailang exchanges na pala sila na nahuli lang yung isang frame na napost niya (We want to know how extensive it is because he had been posting his threat for a lot times. It just so happened that one of them was recorded)," Rodriguez said in an interview over ANC Headstart.
"Gusto namin malaman sinu-sino pa yung kinakausap niya diyan sa TikTok, ano yung level or degree of seriousness (We want to know with whom that suspect was talking to as well as the level or degree of seriousness)," he further said.
