PPCRV to voters: Bring 'kodigo' on Election Day

The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) has asked voters to bring a "kodigo" or list of their preferred candidates on Election Day.

Henrietta de Villa, PPCRV chairman emeritus, said this having a list will help speed up the voting process.

"Before you go to the voting center, prepare a 'kodigo.' This is allowed. Write down the names of those you will vote for so that you won't take long," she said during the Laging Handa public briefing Wednesday, Feb. 9.

De Villa said voters should start preparing their list this early especially now that the campaign period for national candidates already started.

"Please take time and listen to what the candidates are saying in their campaign, interviews, debates, rallies about their platform of government," she said.

"Also, get to know the personality and character of the candidates you are voting for," added De Villa.

She said it's also important for voters to pray when choosing their candidates.

"Discern and pray about it so you will choose the right candidates," De Villa said.

PPCRV is the accredited citizens arm of the Comelec in the May 2022 polls.
