Ang Probinsyano Party-List holds motorcade, proclamation rally in Marikina City

The Ang Probinsyano Party-list (APPL) held a motorcade and proclamation rally in Marikina City on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 9, in preparation for the upcoming national and local elections.

APPL Rep. Alfred delos Santos led the event which was joined by talk show host Boy Abunda and Ella Cruz.

The motorcade drove around the streets, greeting Marikeños and distributing promotional campaign materials such as calendar posters.

After the motorcade, more than a hundred people attended the assembly and proclamation rally at the covered court of Tañong High School in Barangay Tañong, Marikina City.

The APPL thanked the city residents for their warm welcome and assured them of their continued support.

Previously, the APPL launched programs in cooperation with the city government to aid the people of Marikina, such as educational assistance and scholarships to young students, as well as distribution of food packs and care packages to women’s groups in 2021.

In July 2021, the residents of Barangay Tañong received free health services like medical check-ups and consultations, as well as provision of medicines courtesy of the APPL.

The APPL is an organization formed to represent the interests of marginalized communities and groups such as farmers and fisherfolk who are living in the provinces.

The APPL is one of 178 part-list groups running for congressional positions in the elections this May. It got the 50th slot in the official Commission on Elections (Comelec) ballot.(Khriscielle Yalao)
