Muntinlupa LGU vaccinates 419 kids aged 5-11 on first day of 'Resbakuna'
The Muntinlupa City government vaccinated a total of 419 kids aged five to 11 on the first day of the “Resbakuna Kids” campaign.
According to the city government, of the 419 kids, 240 were vaccinated at the Ospital ng Muntinlupa in Barangay Alabang consisting of 39 classified as Pediatric A3 or with comorbidities, and 201 without comorbidities.
At the Laguerta Health Center in Barangay Tunasan, 179 kids were vaccinated, all without comorbidities.

The city government is targeting to vaccinate 68,198 children aged 5 to 11 in Muntinlupa. As of Feb. 5, 10,755 kids have registered with the city’s vaccination program, or 16 percent of the target.
To make the atmosphere relaxing for kids, the two vaccination sites were decorated with children’s party accessories such as balloons and ribbons.
There were mascots while health personnel wore animal hats. Children were given loot bags containing candies, biscuits, and toys.
Overall, the first day vaccination went well, according to the city government. The children and their parents were cooperative in the vaccination, it added.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, Rep. Ruffy Biazon, and other city officials witnessed the vaccination of children at the two sites.
Fresnedi encouraged all parents to register their children with the Muntinlupa COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac) and assured them that vaccines approved by the Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are safe and effective. He also urged the public to get their booster shots as added protection against COVID-19.

Muntinlupa City Health Office (CHO) acting chief Dr. Juancho Bunyi said the city government is aiming to expand the vaccination of five to 11 years old to other existing vaccination sites after a two-week pilot implementation. The CHO targets to vaccinate at least 150 children daily.
Last Dec. 22, the FDA approved the emergency use authorization (EUA) for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for 5 to 11 years old.
Muntinlupa residents may register their kids online at www.vaccine.muntinlupacity.gov.ph/muncovac. The public may choose the category "Pediatric A3 (5-11 yrs. old)" for those with comorbidities and category "Pediatric/Rest of the Pediatric Population (5-11 yrs. old)” for well-child population or those without comorbidities.
