Duterte maintains 'very good' satisfaction rating; Palace thanks public
Malacañang thanked Filipinos who continue to support President Duterte after maintaining a "very good" net satisfaction rating even as he nears the end of his term.

"Lubos po kaming nagpapasalamat sa sambayanang Pilipino sa patuloy ninyong suporta at tiwala sa liderato ni President Rodrigo Roa Duterte (We are very grateful to the Filipino people who continue to support and trust in the leadership of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte)," Cabinet Secretary and acting presidential spokesman Karlo Nograles said in a briefing on Tuesday, Feb. 8.
Citing the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, Nograles said Duterte's net satisfaction rating remained at a "very good" level of +60 (percentage of satisfied minus percentage of dissatisfied).
According to Nograles, this was the highest rating received among the country's top officials.
"Asahan po ninyo na patuloy na gagawin ng Pangulo kung ano ang ikakabuti ng mas nakararami hanggang sa huling araw ng kanyang panunungkulan (The President will continue to do what is best for the public until the last day of his term)," he added.
SWS President and CEO Linda Luz Guerrero earlier noted that the December 2021 survey showed that Duterte continued to enjoy the "honeymoon phase" of his leadership, as his ratings remained above the +30 to +49 net ratings.
Guerrero said Duterte's high ratings could be attributed to his strong base support, the public's satisfaction with his leadership, and to the President's diligent and decisive character.
As of December 2021, the SWS survey showed that the national administration recorded a "very high" net satisfaction rating of +61.
It registered a “very good” net satisfaction rating on helping the poor (+54) and a “good” net satisfaction rating on its anti-illegal drugs campaign (+46).
Meanwhile, the national administration received a “neutral” net rating on efforts to fight corruption and inflation (+9 and -5, respectively).
