K-pop group Big Bang to release new song; T.O.P ends contract with agency
K-pop group Big Bang will be making their comeback in four years.
"Big Bang will release a new song this spring. They have finished recording the new song and they are currently preparing to shoot a music video,” said YG Entertainment on Feb. 7.

They will be returning as a group with four members: G-Dragon, Taeyang, Daesung and T.O.P.
This will be their first new song in four years since releasing “Flower Road” in March 2018, which heralded their group’s hiatus as the members enlisted in the Korean military one by one.
Meanwhile, T.O.P ended his contract with YG Entertainment.
"T.O.P ended his contract with YG Entertainment and will take on various challenges as an artist and entrepreneur,” the agency said.
It added, “We respect T.O.P's opinion that he wants to expand his personal activities as well as Big Bang, and we have discussed this with the members. He will join Big Bang’s activities whenever the circumstances allow," he explained.
Big Bang debuted in 2006 and has released many hit songs. Starting in 2017, the members enlisted in the military.
In March 2019, Seungri announced his retirement from the entertainment industry. YG Entertainment said on March 14, 2019 that it has terminated his contract upon Seungri’s request.
"We deeply apologize to fans and many people for causing concerns. Following Seungri's announcement that he will retire, YG decided to accept his request to end the exclusive contract," said YG Entertainment then, reported Yonhap News.
