
Ceres Transport Inc. (CTI), a member of the Yanson Group of Bus Companies which operates major routes in Luzon, committed to continue serving the riding public despite the challenges of the pandemic during its Feb. 7, 2022 annual stockholders’ meeting.
Yanson matriarch Olivia V. Yanson led the meeting and annual election of directors.
The re-elected directors include Olivia V. Yanson, Leo Rey Yanson, Ginnette Y. Dumancas, Charles M. Dumancas, Rey C. Ardo, Daniel Nicolas P. Golez, Arvin John V. Villaruel, Anita G. Chua, Joseph Ellery L. Villanueva, Hernan B. Omecillo and Alfredo O. Ligo.
The newly-elected directors held an organizational meeting where Leo Rey Yanson was re-appointed president and chairman of the board, while Olivia was re-appointed as corporate secretary and treasurer.
Stockholders Roy V. Yanson and Ricardo V. Yanson Jr. were absent despite notices sent to them, according to a CTI statement.
The Yanson four faction - Roy and Ricky are believed to be out of the country, together with their sisters Emily V. Yanson and Ma. Lourdes Celina Yanson-Lopez.
A Bacolod City court, in an October 2021 decision, granted Olivia the mandate to oversee and administer the estate of her late husband Ricardo Yanson who co-founded with Olivia in 1968 the Yanson Group of Bus Companies.
