Polaris turns back Team MY for winning start in BTS Pro Series S10

Polaris Esports recovered from a Game 1 hiccup as it frustrated Team MY with a 2-1 reverse sweep in the opening match of the BTS Pro Series SEA Season 10 on Sunday, Feb. 6.

The Filipino quintet which was bannered by the same lineup that won them the spot in the DPC SEA Division I in the Winter Tour lower division, pulled off a come-from-behind win in Game 2 before Mc Nicholson Villanueva carried the squad in the series clincher to win the series.

Down by as much as 5k net worth in the mid-game, Polaris used a team fight at the 30-minute mark where it took down four heroes of Team MY against only two from the Filipino side to turn things around.

Polaris seized control of the match from that point as John Anthony "Natsumi-" Vargas provided the squad the steady presence with an immaculate score line of 4-0-9 on the Terrorblade to orchestrate the Game 2 17-27 comeback.

The all-Filipino crew made sure to keep its foot on the gas pedal in the rubber match as Mc Nicholson Villanueva ran wild on his Queen of Pain with a series-high 29 kills and nine assists against a lone death.

Team MY had the slight edge at the start of the match but just like in Game 2, Polaris only needed one clash to turn the tides to its favor.

An early clash at the 15-minute mark of the game where Polaris scored a four-man wipe proved to be the turning point as the Filipinos quickly took advantage and built a lead that went as high as 32k net worth.

Polaris’ heroes snowballed and reached their powerspikes to finish off Team MY with a 45-24 drubbing in Game 3.

Team MY actually had a good start in the series but failed to replicate it Game 1 victory where it stunned Polaris with a wire-to-wire 33-20 victory.
