Apologetic Diether Ocampo recuperates after car accident

The camp of actor Diether Ocampo has released a statement on his recent car accident.

On Feb 5, Star Magic posted an update on the health status of Diether.

Diether said that on Feb. 3, he had a "long and exhausting" meeting that lasted until almost midnight.

He was driving home when he figured in a vehicle accident involving his SUV and a truck.

"I am relieved that no one else got hurt, and I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused due to the unfortunate accident, especially to the other party," the actor said.

Diether is "extremely grateful" that he emerged unscathed, except for a bump in the head and some bruises. "I am very thankful for God's continuous mercy and protection."

The 48-year-old star also thanked those who responded during the accident.

"From the people who called for help, the first responders, and especially to the Philippine Red Cross personnel who rushed me to the hospital," he said.

He also thanked the doctors, nurses, and staff in the hospital where he received "very good care."

"I am feeling better now, and I have already been cleared to recuperate in private," he said. "Again, I wish to thank everyone for your prayers and well-wishes."
