Anti-narcotics operatives seized P3.4 million worth of shabu on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 5, following the arrest of two drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in Bacoor, Cavite.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said that the suspects Joery Villafañe, 37, of Gen. Trias, Cavite and Ignito Mejares, 42, of Pasay City were caught in an entrapment operation at 3:15 p.m. in a parking lot of a mall in Bacoor town.
In the operation, PDEA agents and the local police personnel confiscated two knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing more or less 500 grams of shabu and marked money used by the undercover authority in the transaction.
Villafañe and Mejares face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
