PH designers ready to shine in New York Fashion Week

Filipino designers took their creations to the next level as famous Hollywood stars and personalities wear their outfits during Red Carpet and other events. They become popular not only in the Philippines but abroad as well.

Rojen Morris, a Mindanao fashion designer who is based in the Mid-Atlantic region in the US, said she is inspired to create more designs and showcase them in this month's New York Fashion Week.
On Feb. 12, will launch her Piña Couture Collection Ball Gowns (made from the leaves of pineapple), Red Empire Collection (advocacy-designed gowns for the Women's Heart Heath) and Soñadoras (meaning "dreamers" in Spanish) Collection. Her inspiration to keep on dreaming amid the obstacles of life made her do this collection.

Rojen is also a pageant director, fashion producer, pageant/modeling coach, stars mentor and a Pride Of The Nation 2021 awardee.
She specializes in creating quinceañera ball gowns which are incorporated with rhinestones patterns, embroidered 3D flowers and typified by a fitted bodice and waistline leading to a full skirt.

Rojen will be joined in by other Filipino designers who are also out to make waves in US fashion.

Kirsten Regalado has dressed up delegates for the Miss Universe Competition. Her Philippine flag-inspired creations has gone viral.

Joy Soo will feature her Musa Fabric collection. As part of the event, at least 50 models/advocates from Davao City (her hometown) will grace the billboards in New York Time Square wearing the banana fiber fashion.

Quintessential fashion artist Domz Ramos will also take part in the fashion week. His beautiful and avant-garde swimwear (worn by Bb. Pilipinas candidates in their photo shoots/competitions) will sashay in NYFW.

Young Filipino designers Jan Quijano and Bessie Besana will also grace the show. As a first-timer, Jan showcase his own fashion line's designs called the Glitz and Glamour Collection. Bessie, on the other hand, will feature her clothes for brides.
