P7.4-M shabu seized in Rizal buy-bust

Police and anti-narcotics agents seized some P7.4 million worth of shabu from three men during a buy-bust operation in San Mateo, Rizal on Thursday, Feb. 3.

The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of Rizal Provincial Police (PPO) identified the suspects as Dierick dela Cruz, 24, a resident of Marikina City; Jeffrey Dimaano, 29, and Jeffrey Dalaodao, 35, both residents of San Mateo, Rizal.

The entrapment operation was conducted by the local police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Kambal Road in Barangay Guitnang Bayan 2, San Mateo around 1:00 p.m.

The police recovered from the suspects a green eco-bag containing a weighing scale, two-coin purses, two bags with the suspected shabu amounting P7,480,000, a motorcycle, and the buy-bust money.

The confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Rizal Philippine National Police (PNP) Forensic Group for laboratory examinations.

Dela Cruz, Dimaano, and Dalaodao are now detained at San Mateo Municipal Police Station and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.” (Cherrylin Caacbay)
