Barbie Imperial confirms breakup with Diego Loyzaga, promotes self-love

After weeks of speculations, sexy actress Barbie Imperial finally confirmed that she and hunk actor Diego Loyzaga have indeed called it quits.

The 23-year-old star verified the breakup in a chat with MJ Felipe.

Although Barbie didn't offer details, she reiterated she and Diego parted ways with no bad blood between them.

Recall that early this year, speculations about Barbie and Diego not playing sweet music surfaced after netizens noticed that the 26-year-old actor did not upload any posts featuring Barbie during the recent holidays.

Meanwhile, Barbie added to the talk sharing some cryptic posts.

Also, even after the issue made headlines, the two Kapamilya stars both didn't make an effort to clear the issue.

However, they continue to stay active on social media.

Diego has been sharing updates about his trip to America, while Barbie has been uploading personal photos.

On the other hand, a separate interview involving Barbie has surface and is going viral.

In there, Barbie reiterated that she's the kind of woman who doesn't give up on relationships immediately.

But if she feels the other person is not growing with her, she made clear she wouldn't hesitate to say goodbye.

"Para saan pa ako mag-stay, if wala ako na-ambag sa growth mo," she related.

That time, Barbie also talked about the hardest goodbyes.

She shared, "'Yung hindi mo na-anticipate na yun na yung last time na makikita mo yung taong yun. For me yun ang pinakamahirap na goodbye. Yun for me ang mahirap. Yung hindi mo alam na mangyayari kasi hindi ka ready. But, ganun talaga. Life (laughs)..."

But then, Barbie pointed out that she also has to understand how people practice different ways of coping.

"So for me ito ang gusto ko harap-harapan, dun sa isang tao hindi yun yung coping mechanism nila so I have to respect that. So if wala na, hindi na ako mag-fo-focus sa bakit ganun siya umalis? Bakit ganito niya ako iniwan? Mag-focus na lang ako sa ganito ako magiging okay, ganito ko aayusin yung sarili ko.”

She admitted the most valuable lesson she learned from her failed relationships is loving herself more.

"Baka kaya paulit-ulit nangyayari sa akin ito kasi hindi ko minamahal ang sarili ko," she said. "Kasi it's like, all the same stories each boyfriend. So for me, what if ibahin ko ngayon. Sarili ko naman ang mahalin ko."

Barbie explained why self-love is "very important."

"You have to love yourself para alam mo kung kailan ka aalis, alam mo kung kailan mo ipaglalaban yung sarili mo, alam mo yung worth mo as a person. That’s it. If you don’t love yourself talaga, parang ang mangyayari go with the flow ka lang even if hindi na yun para sa inyong dalawa. Love yourself para matapang ka, yung tapang mo nandiyan, yung panininindigan mo nandiyan,” she maintained.

“More on kasi before parang pag naririnig natin na mahalin mo muna yung sarili mo bago ka magmahal ng iba parang gasgas di ba? Pero yung natutunan ko sa mga past relationships ko was kailangan mo talagang mahalin yung sarili mo. Totoo pala yun. Kasi I’m the kind of person na kahit na nauubos na ako, paubos na ako ng paubos, bigay pa rin ako ng bigay ng love sa ibang tao."
