2 women yield over P1.3-M shabu in Manila sting

Two women were arrested after yielding P1,360,000 worth of shabu in a joint buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) and the Manila Police District (MPD) in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Wednesday, Feb. 2.

The MPD Police Station 3 identified the suspects as Santa Aguilar, 34, and Noria Marcelino, 38, who were arrested at about 5 p.m. on Rizal Avenue in Barangay 307, Zone 30, Sta. Cruz.

Confiscated from the suspects were a black eco bag containing the P1,360,000 worth of shabu, a shoulder bag containing assorted identification cards, a phone and red paper bag with the buy-bust money.

Aguilar and Marcelino are now under custody of the police and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.” (Cherrylin Caacbay)
