PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio, in a public weather forecast, said that the shear line affects the eastern section of southern Luzon. Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon, locally called “amihan,” is not reaching the country but it is expected to affect Luzon and Visayas on Friday, Feb. 4.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon does not reach our country, but it is expected to affect Luzon and Visayas tomorrow, Feb. 4.)” said Aurelio.

Residents of Bicol region, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Marinduque, Aklan, northern Samar, eastern Samar, and Samar were warned of possible flash floods and landslides that the shear line may bring.

Meanwhile, PAGASA said that cloudy skies with scattered rain showers may prevail over Davao region, Caraga, and Sarangani due to easterlies.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country may likewise experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
