Blacklist International joins elite company in 2021's most viewed teams

Blacklist International joined an elite company after placing at the seventh spot of 2021’s most viewed teams around the globe based on the data published by Esports Charts.

The M3 World Champions amassed a total of 53.3 million Hours Watched last year with its peak viewership coming from its match against Indonesia’s RRQ Hoshi in the lower bracket of the world championships recording 3.107 million Peak Viewers.

Blacklist was featured in five Grand Finals last year and won both the MPL Philippines Seasons 7 and 8 titles, the M3 championship and two runners-up finishes in the MPL Invitationals and MLBB Southeast Asia Cup.

“We were the 7th most popular and watched esports team in 2021. We're honored to be among such historic names in the scene, but we're not stopping there,” said Blacklist in a post in its official Facebook page.

Blacklist joined some of the world’s largest esports teams led by Korean League of Legends team DAMWON Gaming KIA which topped the list with 96.3 million Hours Watched. It is followed by CS:GO team, Natus Vincere with 87.45 million Hours Watched and another Korean LoL team, T1 with 74.1 million Hours Watched.

Two MLBB teams from Indonesia rounded up the top five with RRQ Hoshi and Evos Legends finishing fourth and fifth with 67.7 million and 57.2 million Hours Watched respectively.

LoL team Mad Lion was at number six with 55.1 million Hours Watched while Team Spirit’s DOTA 2 team placed behind Blacklist with 52.85 million Hours Watched at number eight.

Completing the top ten were LoL teams from Cloud9 and Gen.G Esports with 52.4 million and 51.6 million Hours Watched respectively.

Earlier analytics also showed Blacklist dominating Facebook engagements earning a total of 19.5 million engagements to top the list. Other PH teams Nexplay Esports and Bren Esports also finished at the top five of that list.
