VP bet Sara reacts to being called 'most beautiful and sexiest woman in the world'

Vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio isn't your typical dainty lady politician. In fact, some have compared her to father, President Duterte, and claimed that her persona is just as tough, if not tougher than her old man.

That's why, when Davao Occidental Governor Claude Bautista began to describe her Monday, Feb. 28 with phases like "the most beautiful woman in the world and the most sexy," the Davao mayor felt compelled to pull him back down from cloud nine.

Duterte-Carpio and Bautista were among those who attended late Monday afternoon's press conference at the Triple Crown Ranch, Diversion Road, Davao City.

During his turn on the microphone, the governor expressed just how happy he was to have Duterte-Carpio back on Davao after being away for one month due to her commitments to the "Mahalin Natin ang Pilipinas Ride" nationwide caravan.

"In behalf of HNP (Hugpong ng Pagbabago), I am proud to say and announce the next vice president of the republic of the Philippines is coming from Davao City, no other than the most beautiful woman in the world and the most sexy," Bautista said.

Because he could finish, the rather flattered Duterte-Carpio threw her hand up in the air and said, "Di ito beauty pageant ah, ano ito vice presidential race (Mind you this isn't a beauty pageant, this is a vice presidential race).”

Bautista wrapped up his speech by declaring that Mayor Inday Sara will become the next vice president of the Philippines.

Duterte-Carpio, 43, is the lone female vice presidential bet in the May 2022 elections. She is the running mate of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer Bongbong Marcos.

The HNP is a regional party that's closely identified with Duterte-Carpio. The lady mayor now chairs the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) party.
