LTFRB allows JoyRide PH to launch 4-wheel ride-hailing service

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has given motorcycle ride-hailing firm JoyRide Philippines a transport network company (TNC) accreditation which allows them to offer a car services transport to their customers, an executive of the company disclosed Monday, Feb. 28.

In a statement, JoyRide Senior Vice President for Corporate Affairs Noli Eala said that the service will offer commuters "another viable choice for safe, comfortable, and affordable car rides to their destination."

"We are very excited to have JoyRide Car as one of the newest services available in our superapp. As always, we remain committed to providing value-for-money quality service to the public through the use of a powerful and scalable technology platform," Eala added.

JoyRide â€” which operates in Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Baguio, and Metro Cebu â€” accepts drivers and operators as partners. Interested individuals may visit the firm's social media pages for more information.

Currently, the JoyRide app offers delivery services, motorcycle or tricycle transport services, delivery services, and pabili or buy-for-me services. Since its launch in 2019, it has catered to 20,000 drivers and partners with vehicles ranging from motorcycles, cars, vans, and trucks.
