LOOK: 80-year-old grandfather signs up to help save Ukraine

Former first lady of Ukraine, Kateryna Yushchenko, tweeted how nationalistic her countrymen are during this time when Russia is trying to claim their country.

"Someone posted a photo of this 80-year-old who showed up to join the army, carrying with him a small case with two t-shirts, a pair of extra pants, a toothbrush, and a few sandwiches for lunch," she tweeted. "He said he was doing it for his grandkids."

Reports have yet to confirm if this photo happened over the weekend and if he was allowed to join in the crusade.
