Julia Barretto on 'daring' roles: 'Wala na akong excuse na umayaw'

Julia Barretto is now ready to take on more daring roles.

She said so in a recent interview.

“It’s a leap of faith I have to take," she maintained. "It’s part of growing up."

Julia allowed for a bit of that in her latest film, "Bahay Na Pula," baring some skin for a shower scene.

She vows to do more in her next outing if only to show that she is "committed and passionate" when it comes to her craft.

The 24-year-old opined, “It’s not just about doing love scenes or doing daring things...It’s part of your willingness to show how committed you are in your profession as an actress."

“Ayoko rin namang masyadong magkaroon ng limitations, kasi siyempre, parang binibigyan ko rin ng limitations ‘yung mga taong nasa likod ng creative process ng pelikula. So, you have to give them that trust because they’re giving me their trust and malaking bagay kasi sa akin ang pinagkakatiwalaan ako. So, as much as possible, pinahahalagahan ko yun, iniingatan ko ‘yun. And I’m 24, tumatanda na rin ako, so wala na akong excuse na umayaw."
