BBM visits Pangasinan Capitol, lauds Gov. Espino's COVID-19 response
PANGASINAN - Over a million supporters of presidential candidate and former Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. from this vote-rich province gave him and his senatorial slate a warm welcome over the weekend.
Authorities estimated that at least half of the population participated in the grand rally of the BBM-Sarah Uniteam.

The Pangasinan Philippine National Police reported that Pangasinenses went out of their residences to see and greet Marcos during his two-day visit as he fulfilled his promise to return to the province.
“Tumaas ang balahibo ko habang paparating ang motorcade ni BBM, nakakamiss ang (mga) Marcos, nakakapagod ang init pero sulit ang lahat nang makita namin siya. BBM forever,” a resident of Urdaneta said. (I had goosebumps when the motorcade of BBM was getting near. I miss the Marcoses. The heat was intolerable but it was all worth it when we saw him. We are BBM forever.)
Marcos and his senatorial slate visited Alaminos City, Dagupan City, Rosales, Binalonan, and Bayambang for his grand rally and went on a motorcade to areas of Carmen, Rosales, Asingan, Urdaneta City, Villasis, San Carlos, Basista, Bayambang, and other towns.
Governor Amado "Pogi" I. Espino III and other provincial officials welcomed Marcos during his visit to the Pangasinan Provincial Capitol on Saturday, Feb. 26.

Joining Marcos during the courtesy visit were Senators Sherwin "Win" Gatchalian and Juan Miguel "Migz" Zubiri, and Congressman Rodante Marcoleta.
Espino was joined by members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, 2nd District Congressman Jumel Anthony Espino, and Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil, who is president of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines - Pangasinan Chapter.
Marcos praised Espino for the provincial government's COVID-19 response.
"Congratulations at na-control ninyo ang (you were able to control) COVID. Very good," he said.
Since the pandemic started, Provincial Health Office (PHO) chief Dr. Anna Ma. Teresa De Guzman said the provincial government implemented the FIT3RP (Find, Isolate, Test, Treat, Trace, Reintegrate, and Prevention) strategy in the fight against COVID-19.
The local government units (LGUs) in the province also set up their own isolation facilities as per the recommendation of the provincial Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).
Aside from the COVID-19 management,Marcos and Espino talked about the improvement of agriculture in the province.
In Region 1, Pangasinan is the top producer of mango, tobacco, peanut, mungbean, tomato, garlic, onion, eggplant, and other crops.
Pangasinenses are optimistic of a landslide win in the May elections for the BBM-Sara tandem as Espino and his rival, Ramon Guico, had earlier endorsed the UniTeam thereby consolidating the support for the BBM-Sara UniTeam in the so-called “Solid North."
