Presidential candidate Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson on Sunday said he is proud to say that he is one government official known to have never accepted any bribe or any kind of reward in the course of his stint in government, even when he was then head of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
“Ang isang pinagmamalaki ko sa serbisyong publiko ni minsan hindi ako tumanggap ng suhol sa serbisyo publliko (One of things I can be proud of is that I’ve never accepted any kind of bribe in my years as a public servant),” Lacson said during the CNN Philippines’ presidential debate.
The presidential candidates were asked how they dealt with corruption under their watch.
