ITZY's Ryujin, Super Junior's Ryeowook test positive for COVID-19
K-pop girl group ITZY’s Ryujin and Super Junior’s Ryeowook have tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as at least 157 Korean stars have been diagnosed with it since last month.
“On the afternoon of the 27th , Ryujin from ITZY was confirmed to have COVID-19. Previously on the morning of the 27th, Ryujin tested positive from a self-test kit and immediately proceeded with a PCR test,” said JYP Entertainment, ITZY’s agency.

The agency said Ryujin is fully vaccinated and received her booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Ryujin currently has no symptoms other than mild cough and is receiving treatment at home according to the guidelines of health authorities.
ITZY members Lia, Yeji and Chaeryeong earlier tested positive for COVID-19 and fully recovered.
On the other hand, Label SJ announced that Super Junior member Ryeowook tested positive for COVID-19 on the morning of Feb. 27 through a PCR test.
As a result, Ryeowook will not be able to perform in the musical “Fan Letter” and some broadcast schedules for Super Junior’s special single album “The Road : Winter for Spring,” which is slated to be released on Feb. 28.
The agency said Ryeowook is fully vaccinated and is scheduled to get his booster shot. He is currently under self-isolation. It said all Super Junior members conduct preemptive testing for schedules.
Last Feb. 18, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun was confirmed to have COVID-19. Kyuhyun is fully vaccinated and got his booster shot. Last month, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk tested positive for COVID-19.
In addition, comedians Lee Guk-joo and Choi Sung-min also tested positive for COVID-19.
On Feb. 26, Cube Entertainment said Pentagon member Shinwon was diagnosed with COVID-19 after Jinho who was confirmed to have the disease last Feb. 23.
