Former star BB Gandanghari has revealed she got a mammogram for the first time.

"#where: BB goes to," she wrote as caption to her video. "First time to do this and totally feel like a woman... why? Because only women do this for their yearly physical check up as required by the insurance and medical provider."

She then used the hashtag "#CancerPrevention," "#Transition," "#Breast," and "#EarlyDetection."

In another post, BB talked about what she underwent.

"Mammography is the process of using low-energy X-rays to examine the human breast for diagnosis and screening. The goal of mammography is the early detection of breast cancer, typically through detection of characteristic masses or microcalcifications," she said.

BB also shared a video of her inside a dressing room.

She said: "I’m going to get my results soon, and I’m praying that I’ll be clear of any indication of early stages of #breastCancer... Mammogram is very important for every woman, especially so when one is on Hormone Replacement Therapy like myself."

She advised her followers on the importance of annual medical care.

"An ounce of #prevention than a pound of #cure," she said.

Recall that five years ago when former Rustom Padilla was recognized as a woman in the US.

BB came out in 2006 during her stint on "Pinoy Big Brother."
