Easterlies to bring warm, humid weather over most of PH – PAGASA

The easterlies is expected to bring warm and humid weather with a slight chance of isolated rain showers over most parts of the country in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday, Feb. 27.

Easterlies is also known as the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.

“Wala na po tayong amihan na nakakaapekto sa ating bansa. Bagkus ay yung tinatawag po nating easterlies ang halos umiiral sa buong bansa ngayong araw (The northeast monsoon no longer affects the country. On the other hand, the eaterlies prevails over most parts of the Philippines),” said PAGASA weather specialist Samuel Duran in a public weather forecast.

The State weather bureau warned residents of Metro Manila and the rest of the country against the possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Duran added that no weather disturbance or low pressure area (LPA) is expected to affect nor develop in the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) until the end of the month.
