Bible verses in Rizal's tourist spots for the Holy Week

The Rizal Provincial Government started posting images of the province’s various tourist destinations with Bible verses in its social media pages in preparation for the upcoming Holy Week and summer vacation.

In its Facebook page on Saturday, Feb. 26, an image of the Ang Nuno Artists Foundation Gallery, located in Angono, Rizal was shown with a Bible verse.

An image of Carika Dolls, the uniquely handcrafted foam dolls which are made in Baras, Rizal was also shown with a Bible passage in a post on Thursday, Feb. 24.

The Carika Dolls were exclusively made by twin sisters Lorily Darag and Lorichelle Alapag of Baras, Rizal.

The 17th century Nuestra Señora de la Annunciata Parish Church, also known as Boso-Boso Church, located at Sitio Old Boso-Boso, in Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, was featured in a post on Tuesday, Feb. 22.

The church, which is under the supervision of the Camillian Order of the Catholic Church, was built in 1669 by the Franciscan missionaries and was turned over to the Jesuit missionaries in 1741.

In a post on Monday, Feb. 21, an image of the Saint Francis of Assisi Parish Church, the modern day church in Cainta, Rizal, featured a verse from the Holy Scripture.

Rizal Province is among the tourism circuits listed in the Department of Tourism’s Green Corridor Initiative that would link top and visitor ready destinations in Region 4-A.

The Rizal circuit offers faith tourism, food, art, adventure, and nature tourism that can all be experienced by visitors in one trip.
