This is how Sara campaigns for Bongbong

That's how vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio "sold" her May 2022 election partner, Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer Bongbong Marcos to voters during the tandem's recent "grand rally" at the Barotac Nuevo football field in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.

The event, which took place Feb. 24, was among the bigger rallies of the "UniTeam" last week and Duterte-Carpio made sure that she would personally tell the crowd what her "Apo BBM's" advantages were over his Palacen rivals.

"Bakit po Bongbong Marcos? Dahil as a voter, importante po sa akin na ang tao nagpepresinta maging pangulo ay meron po siyang experience sa pagiging manager at problem solver (Why choose Bongbong Marcos? Because as a voter, it's important for me that the person presenting his case to be voted as president should be an experienced manager and problem solver)," she said.

"Si Bongbong Marcos po meron siyang four terms na governor, one term na congressman at one term na senator na experience (Bongbong Marcos's range of experience covers four terms as governor, one term as congressman and one term as senator)," noted the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) chairperson and daughter of President Duterte.

For those who didn't do the math, that's 18 years worth of experience for Marcos.

"Yan po ang kanyang makakatulong sa kanya (Marcos), sa kanyang trabaho as president of the republic of the Philippines (That will help him in his job as president of the republic of the Philippines)," Duterte-Carpio said.

While she was at it, the lady official also highlighted her own credentials particularly with her successes in Davao.

"Ako naman po one term vice mayor at three terms mayor po ako ng Davao City. Sa administration ko po as mayor, unang-una ang Davao ngayong araw na ito ay fourth most competitive city (I'm a one-term vice mayor and three-term mayor of Davao City. In my administration as mayor, Davao became the fourth most competitive city)," said.

"At pangalawa po ang Davao City isa sa Top 10 pinakamayaman na siyudad sa buong bansa, at hindi po madaling gawin yon dahil ang aming siyudad ay nasa Mindanao (And second, Davao City made it into the Top 10 of riches cities in the entire Philippines, and this isn't easy to do because our city is in Midnana)," Duterte-Carpio said.

Mindanao has been normally left behind in terms of progress, leaving its citizens quite poor.

Marcos and Duterte-Carpio were together on stage during the Iloilo grand rally. The latter had earlier said that they make it a point to campaign for each other even if they're not together on the campaign trail.
