Pasay City gov't holds Binyagang Bayan

A total of 17 babies were formally welcomed to the Christian world during the “Binyagang Bayan” launched by the Pasay City government on Feb. 25.

The babies were christened at the Sta. Clara de Montefalco Parish Church.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubinao said the Binyagang Bayan was the first ever mass baptism of babies sponsored by the city government.

Rubiano and brother Congressman Antonino Calixto stood as the primary sponsors of the 17 babies.

She said the Binyagang Bayan was also attended by Vice-Mayor Boyet del Roario and City Councilors Mark Calixto, Marlon Pesebre, Grace Santos and Antonia Cuneta who served as secondary sponsors of the babies.
