Onic PH demolished the hapless Bren Esports, 2-0, to get back on the winning track in the MPL Philippines on Saturday, Feb. 26.

Coming off a shock 2-0 loss at the hands of Nexplay Evos last week, Onic PH vented its ire on the still winless Bren behind the stellar performance from Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol and Marky “Markyyy” Capacio.
The duo proved to be a thorn to the side of the Bren all series long as Kairi unloaded a 7-1-3 showing on the Hayabusa in Game 1 and a 7-1-6 tally in Game 2. Markyyy, meanwhile, provided Onic the late game insurance on his Wanwan and Beatrix picks in the two-game sweep, scattering impressive numbers of 4-1-5 and 7-1-7 KDAs respectively.
Bren actually showed better resolve in this game as it took control of the early game in the series opener. Saxa on the Lancelot secured the first three turtles on top of the two kills on Dlarskie’s Uranus in the top lane.
Onic however was able to alleviate the impact by taking other resources around the map as Markyyy on the Wanwan went uncontested in the Gold Lane while Kairi also had his free reigns on the jungle. Once the two reached its power spike Onic PH easily cruised to the 12-5 triumph in Game 1.
It was also the same story in Game 2 as rookie-laden Bren showed flashes of brilliance. A huge clash at the 12-minute mark where Onic scored a 3-1 kill trade proved to be the turning point as the M3 runners up pulled away for good from that point.
Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy provided support with a quiet 2-0-14 KDA in the series clinching win.
Onic improved to a 2-1 record in the standings while Bren remained winless through three outings.
