Pasay police confiscate more than 400K shabu

Members of the Pasay City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a woman tagged as a high value target during a buy-bust operation and confiscated from her P414,800 worth of shabu on Thursday, Feb. 24.

Col. Cesar Paday-os, Pasay City police chief, identified the suspect as Marites Verso, 53, of Pasay City. She is now detained at the Pasay City police custodial facility and facing charges of illegal possession of drugs.

Paday-os said Verso was arrested at about 10:50 p.m. along Apelo Cruz St., Barangay 157, Zone 16.

He said members of the SDEU conducted a buy-bust operation against Verso who is allegedly engaged in selling shabu.

The city police chief confiscated from Verso three small plastic sachets containing shabu weighing about 61 grams and and worth P414,800.

Paday-os said the confiscated shabu was brought to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit for confirmatory test.
