'Oh My Job!' tackles OFWs in HK as it confronts 5th wave of COVID-19

In the “Oh Isyu” segment of "Oh My Job!", Labor Attache Melchor Dizon of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office of Hong Kong will lead the discussion on the plight of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in that country.
The Philippine Consulate in Hong Kong has said that all OFWs needing emergency assistance due to the recent COVID-19 surge have been accounted for and assisted. Also, the action was swift for the plight of OFWs in Hong Kong who got infected with the virus, some of whom were terminated by their employers after testing positive.
Consul Tejada assured the Filipino community in Hong Kong that the labor department sent words to the consulate that it was committed to giving proper care and treatment to the Filipino workers, mostly domestic helpers, if they test positive for COVID-19.
Executive Director Joel Malungsod of the National Maritime Polytechnic will also talk about the quality of training for Filipino seafarers.
In the “Bongga Ka Job” segment, be inspired by the story of a Filipina actress in Korea.
Also, more jobs will be announced in the “Oh May Jobs Dito” segment.
