Oasis Gaming puts shock end to Team Secret's VCT Challengers PH campaign
Oasis Gaming put a stunning end to Team Secret’s VCT Challengers PH campaign following its 2-0 victory in their lower bracket clash on Friday, Feb 25.

An overtime victory in the first map set the tone for Oasis as the Group B top seed prevailed over the VCT Champions 2021 SEA representative in two tightly fought contest to score the series sweep.
Oasis had a solid start in the series as it took a 7-5 lead on the attacking side in its own map pick in Fracture. Oasis then scored the next two rounds after the switch for a commanding 9-5 cushion before Team Secret came alive and took seven of the next eight rounds to take a 12-10 lead.
Oasis refused to surrender that map advantage to Secret as it scored two rounds to force the extra period. It was then Invy and Markyy who pulled off the biggest plays in the crunch time to give Oasis the 14-12 overtime win.
Invy finished with 21 kills and 238 combat score to lead Oasis.

Eager to bounce back from the tough Game 1 loss, Team Secret started like a house on fire in their map pick in Haven. The Jayvee “Dubstep” Paguirigan-led squad quickly raced to a 6-1 lead on the attacking side.
Oasis showed some resistance but Team Secret kept its hold of the lead at the half with an 8-4 tally. After securing two rounds to start the second half, Oasis gained some momentum and was able to tie the game at nine points apiece.
TS scored the next round to regain the lead but Oasis answered back with four straight rounds to score a 13-10 Game 2 triumph and took the series win.

It was a bitter end to Team Secret’s campaign which looked vulnerable at the start of the tournament after absorbing three straight losses in the first week.
Oasis, on the other hand, now awaits the winner between Zeal Esports and South Built Esports in the second round of the lower bracket.
