Presidential candidate and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said on Friday, Feb. 25, that he will continue to persevere and visit many possible places to get the people’s endorsement and support for his candidacy.
“We want to be closer to the people. We will continue to reach out to as many municipalities and cities here in Cavite and we will continue to reach as many provinces and regions in the entire country. Walang tulugan! (No sleep!),” Domagoso said.
The Aksyon Demokratiko standard bearer plans to barnstorm Cavite despite Governor Jonvic Remulla's earlier claim that Cavite supports the candidacy of former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
He also said that Remulla’s claims, or any claims made by his rivals’ supporters for that matter, will not deter him and Aksyon Demokratiko because every Filipino has the right to choose freely who they will vote for.
Cavite has around 2.3 million voters, the second most vote-rich province in the Philippines after Cebu, which has an estimated 3.2 million voters.
If elected president, the Manila mayor promised to address poverty, hunger, unemployment, inequality and social injustice in the country by focusing on providing the minimum basic needs of the people.
These are presented in the main pillars of his 10-Point Economic Agenda.
