A total of 1,072 dogs and cats received anti-rabies shots from the Las Pinas City Veterinary Office to give the community and these pets protection against animal rabies.
According to Paul San Miguel, Public Information Office (PIO) head, around 763 dogs and 336 cats were vaccinated on the first day of the barangay-wide free mass vaccination in Barangay Manuyo Dos.
San Miguel said the city Veterinary Services Office is scheduling each barangay in the city in conducting free anti-rabies vaccination to dogs and cats around the city.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar has called on all pet owners to be responsible with their dogs and cats and have them vaccinated against rabies.
The PIO chief added that pet owners can also bring their dogs and cats to the City Veterinary Services Office (CVSO) for free vaccination.
San Miguel said the CVSO is open to the public from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
