TABUK CITY, Kalinga — Two local tourist were nabbed for transporting P13 million worth of marijuana bricks at a checkpoint by the joint operatives of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera in Barangay Dinakan,Lubuagan, Kalinga, Friday morning (Feb. 25).

Kalinga PPO Provincial Director Col.Peter Tagtag said the intelligence operatives received an information that two person are transporting marijuana from Tinglayan going to Cagayan province onboard a white van with plate no. ICL 2669.
Tagtag said the said vehicle was intercepted at 4:00 a.m by joint personnel of KPPO and PDEA backed-up by other operating units and local officials.
The arrested suspects were identified as Aldren Paul Cabanes Pacion, 25, and Jaymor Sacatani Eusebio, 31,both are residents of San Vicente Tuao, Cagayan.

The operatives confiscated drug items, assorted cartons wrapped with cellophane containing 106 marijuana bricks and 7 tabular form weighing 113, 000 grams with an estimated market value of P13,560,000.
On-site inventory was conducted in the presence of the arrested suspects and duly witnessed by Barangay Kagawad Edna TaoTao and media representatives.
Last Feb. 15, five tourists who visited famous tattoo artist Apo Whang-od in Barangay Buscalan in Tinglayan,Kalinga were also arrested for transporting P2.5 million worth of marijuana bricks at a police checkpoint in Sitio Dinakan, Barangay Dangoy, Lubuagan, Kalinga
