Action PH turns back Zeal Esports, sets up UB clash against Oasis Gaming
Action PH completed its 2-1 reverse sweep of Zeal Esports to set up an upper bracket second round clash against Oasis Gaming in the VCT 2022 Challengers PH on Thursday, Feb. 24.

A flawless 13-0 win in the series clincher in Ascent capped the APH comeback as it recovered from a tough Map 1 loss to open its playoffs campaign on a winning note.
Georggyy on the Jett anchored APH’s perfect game in the third map with 15 kills and 317 combat score on his Jett while Emman on the Sage provided support with a 309 combat score on a 4.4 KDA.

The neat Game 3 win, which the tournament’s only second 13-0 win and the first in the playoffs, wouldn’t be possible if not for the impressive 13-5 victory in its own map pick in Haven.
APH used a strong first half on the attacking side to take a commanding 9-3 lead at the half. The squad then only needed five rounds as Zeal showed little resistance after the switch to force the decider. Georggyy collected 17 kills on the Jett to spearhead the attack for APH.

Zeal failed to sustain its blistering start as it took a 13-8 win in Fracture to draw the series’ first blood. The squad, however, failed to adjust in the ensuing maps as Zeal fell prey to APH relentless map pressure, dropping the team to the lower bracket playoffs.

APH is set to face Group A top seed Oasis on Friday, Feb. 25 while Zeal will face the loser of the upper bracket second round match between Naos Esports and either Team Secret or South Built Esports.
