In 2016, one of Carlo Mendoza’s sources of income was joining male bikini pageants. (akin nalang yung bikining itim!) He would sometimes win the title or get a special prize. (dapat ako ang judge!) But the biggest gift he got from wearing those skimpy trunks was a movie project. (ay ako iba offer ko sayo bro!)

“Duon sa isang sinalihan kong bikini contest, may lumapit sakin. Gumagawa sya ng pelikula. Siempre tinanggap ko. Gay film yun. Ang title ay 'Lihim ng Iskinita,' " Carlo recalls. (tara sa iskinita bro!)

Carlo admits that acting in his first film was not easy but it opened more opportunties for him: “Siyempre nailang ako nung una, kasi lalaki kaeksena ko tapos unang movie ko pa. Pero may mga sumunod pa akong projects tapos puro male-to-male na lagi yung napupunta sakin. Di na ako nailang.” (feeling ko komportable rin ako sayo bro!)

He considers all his sexy scenes as part of his job but he once got affected in one of his movie sequences: “Lagi namang lalaki nakakaeksena ko, kaya balewala lang yun, trabaho yun. Pero meron lang talaga akong isang eksena dati with Alvin Nacasi, na naapektuhan ako siguro kasi masyadong intimate yung eksena. Ewan ko ba. (laughs)” (i-remake natin yan bro!)

The 26-year-old sewing machine technician has not been doing independent films since the pandemic started. One of his means to earn now is selling his solo sexy videos on Twitter and telegram. pakyawin na yan!)

“As of now, may subscription ako for my videos. Ako lang muna. Although maraming nag-iinvite sakin for collaboration. Pinag-iisipan ko pa kung paano. Kadalasan mga nag offer sakin mga transexual o kaya naman mga bading na mas gwapo pa sakin!” Carlo shares. (Isama natin yang mga gwapo!)

Carlo is also trying to refresh his knowledge and skills on proper maintenance of sewing machines. He has put up a small shop to sell and repair. (para sa kinabukasan ba natin yan bro?!)

“Dati kasi akong naging salesman ng sewing machine. Tapos natuto akong magkumpuni. Kaya isa rin yan sa ginagawa ko ngayong pandemya," Carlo says. (magaling magbutingting si koya!)

But it seems, his sexy image has a different impact on his business. “Minsan kasi naghohome service ako para ayusin yung makina nila. Minsan may gay na nagpahome service. Alam mong may gustong mangyari. Eh mabilis kong nagawa yung machine. Kaya nakaalis ako agad. Tapos tawag nang tawag, balikan ko raw sya. Ibang usapan naman daw.” (I'm sure, gusto nyang maging sewing machine!)
