Fourth-ranked bantamweight Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade is oozing with confidence entering his crucial tussle with Team Lakay’s Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw at ONE: FULL CIRCLE this Friday, February 25.
Andrade’s confidence is warranted though. He has been on an absolute tear upon entering ONE, scoring dominant victories over some of the division’s staples in Mark “Tyson” Abelardo, Shoko Sato, and “The Underdog” Li Kai Wen.
Entering what he believes is the peak of his career, the Brazilian believes Pacatiw will have nothing on him when they square off inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
“Absolutely nothing . I don’t see anything in his game that could get me into trouble in the fight,” Andrade told ONEFC.com.
“Of course, he’s training hard, and he could surprise me, but I believe I’ll be ready for anything he can bring to this fight.”
The 24-year-old will be banking on his dangerous Muay Thai, something that was on full display in his destruction of Li his last time out.
He understands that Pacatiw could be tricky on the feet, given that he trains with Team Lakay who are known for their high-level wushu striking. However, he believes that the Filipino won’t have the guts to stand with him.
“No matter what his gym does well, he doesn’t want to stand up with me because I’m going to put him to sleep fast,” Andrade shared.
“He’ll try to put me down. Many have already made the same mistake and paid dearly for it. As I said, I am a different species. These guys don’t want to fight me in a striking fight. I love stand-up fighting. I love hitting and getting a beating, and I can do it all day without getting tired.”
Unsurprisingly, Andrade doesn’t expect this fight to last long as he’s confident that he can finish the 25-year-old within the first five minutes of the match.
“I’m going to knock out in the first round because he won’t be able to handle all the weapons I’m going to bring to this fight,” he stated.
“ don’t really matter to me. I’m in the best phase of my career, and my evolution is constant. I will fight any of them at any time, and I know I will win. So they should be worried, not me.”
