The camp of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. announced Wednesday, Feb.23 that its Antique caravan will be postponed to a later date.

Lawyer Vic Rodriguez, Marcos Jr.’s spokesman, said the Marcos-Sara Duterte caravan-slash-rally initially scheduled on Feb. 24 at the Binirayan Sports Complex in San Jose de Buenavista has been moved “in spirit of peace and unity".
The new schedule is yet to be announced.
On Wednesday, it was reported that Marcos’s supposed caravan in another area in Antique was called off due to protests from residents and local officials.
The said caravan was supposed to be held at nearby Evelio Javier Freedom Park, which was named after former Antique governor Evelio Javier.
Javier was shot dead on Feb. 11, 1986 by armed men at the same place during the conduct of snap elections between Corazon "Cory" Aquino and Bongbong's father, the late strongman President Ferdinand Marcos.
