"Ngayong araw ay sinamahan natin si VP Leni Robredo sa kanyang pag-iikot sa Iligan City sa Lanao del Norte. Bahagi ito ng kanyang pagbisita sa iba’t ibang lugar sa Mindanao (Today, we accompanied VP Leni Robredo while she made rounds in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte. This is part of her visit to different locations in Mindanao)," Hataman wrote on Facebook.

The Basilan lawmaker included in his post pictures from the day's campaign sortie, a selfie of him and Robredo inside a vehicle, and some shots of him "modeling" his pink "People Not Position" t-shirt.

"Kitang-kita natin ang mainit na pagtanggap ng mga taga-Iligan kay VP Leni kaya naman nakikita na natin na kulay rosas ang kulay ng ating kinabukasan! (Iligan residents' warm reception of VP Leni is very clear, that's way we can see that our future is quite rosy)," Hataman said, playing off one of the opposition standard-bearer's campaign catchphrases.

Hataman served as governor of the now-defunct Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao from 2013 to 2019.

Robredo and Hataman are both stalwarts of the once-ruling Liberal Party (LP).
