The camp of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio has branded as "fake" the alleged meet and greet with UniTeam slate members in Marikina City that was scheduled Monday, Feb. 21.

"The UniTeam Bongbong Marcos-Sara Duterte disowns the meet and greet event scheduled in Marikina at 2pm Monday, Feb. 21, 2022," read a post from Duterte-Carpio's offical Facebook page Tuesday morning, Feb. 22.
The post came with a poster-style graphic about the supposed event, complete with images of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer Bongbong Marcos and his running mate, Duterte-Carpio.
"No such event was set for vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte or the UniTeam senatorial candidates. Sara Duterte’s Feb. 21 schedule was in Pampanga," the post read.
As such, the lady mayor's camp urged UniTeam supporters to "verify information about the campaign and follow the official Uniteam and Sara Duterte accounts to avoid confusion or the dissemination of wrong information".
"The public is also informed that the UniTeam does not engage in activities that solicit money from supporters, businessmen, or local politicians to cover campaign expenses," it added.
The poster in question cited that the Marikina event was part of the "Mahalin Natin ang Pilipinas Ride" (MNPR). The MNPR caravan is primarily an initiative of the presidential daughter.
Marcos and Duterte-Carpio comprise the so-called BBM-Sara UniTeam. They are the frontrunners in recent presidential and vice presidential surveys, respectively.
