'Free Wi-Fi for all' project officially launched in Quezon City, says PCUP
The “Surf2Sawa– Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) Wi-Fi project” or the “free Wi-Fi for all” has been launched in Quezon City, the Commission announced.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Feb 22, PCUP disclosed that the project was launched on Monday, Feb. 21 at Upper Lilac Chapel, 83 Lilac St., West Fairview, Quezon City.

“Tampok sa naturang gawain ang demonstrasyon sa libreng pag-akses sa Department of Education (DepEd) at PCUP websites, gayundin ang awarding ng PCUP Urban Poor Privilege Card sa mga urban poor communities (The event featured a demonstration on free access to the websites of DepED and PCUP, as well as the awarding of the PCUP Urban Poor Privilege Card to Urban Poor communities,” it said.
The Commission previously stated that the initiative aims to benefit the indigents and provide an accessible internet connection to the youth who need assistance in their education.
