Tarlac Bishop Enrique Macaraeg has asked Catholic schools in his diocese to urge senior high school and college students to participate in the virtual "Walk for Life" next month.

"All Catholic schools are enjoined to require their senior high school and college students to participate in this event," he said in a circular letter dated Feb. 22.
"With our present situation due to the pandemic, we will be having a virtual Walk for Life via Zoom App instead of the usual practice," added Macaraeg.
He said the Diocesan Council of the Laity of the Diocese of Tarlac in coordination with the Sangguniang Laiko ng Pilipinas will spearhead the annual event.
"This is in line with our advocacy to promote and protect the sanctity and sacredness of human life in view of the many abuses and crimes being committed against the life of an individual," said Macaraeg
The theme of the activity is "Sama samang paglalakbay sa buhay."
The virtual "Walk for Life" will be held on March 5.
