Cagayan cops launch 'Kasimbayan' for honest, orderly conduct of May polls

CAMP TIRSO H. GADOR, Tuguegarao City -- Members of the Cagayan police led by Provincial Director Col. Renell R Sabaldica launched KASIMBAYANAN (Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan) for the conduct of safe, accurate, free and fair elections (SAFE) in the country this May.
The launch, held on Monday, Feb. 21 at Cagayan Cops Multi-Purpose Hall, Tuguegarao City, was preceded by an interfaith prayer led by Fr. Jefferson Magulod, Pastor Roque Meman, and Bong Esmael, Vice President of the Muslim Association in Tuguegarao City.
Sabaldica called on the police force to set aside their political biases and to think about what is good for the country.

He also encouraged them to think about the future of their children and the next generation.
Sabaldica encouraged everyone to vote wisely and to choose the right leaders in the coming elections.
He appealed to the public to work with the police for an honest, orderly, and peaceful elections.
Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Director Ruperto B Maribbay Jr. and Atty. Irving Calauad, Provincial Director of the Commission on Elections (Comelec), urged the community to work with all government agencies for peaceful and orderly elections this coming May.
SAFE Candles were lit during the launch and SAFE 2022 pins were given, followed by the Signing of the “Pledge of Commitment” by representatives from the Philippine National Police, DILG, Comelec, National Movement for Free Elections, religious and community leaders.
