'America's Got Talent' singer Jane 'Nightbirde' Marczewski passes away after bout with cancer

“America’s Got Talent” sensation Jane “Nightbirde” Marczewski has passed away at age 31 following a public bout with cancer.
"Your voice, your story, and your message touched millions. Nightbirde will always be a member of the AGT family. Rest In Peace, Jane," the reality show America's Got Talent announced on Facebook.
The New York Post reported that a source with direct knowledge told TMZ that the singer passed away Sunday while undergoing treatment for the disease, which had metastasized to her lungs, spine and liver.
An early favorite to win "AGT," the tragic news comes after the Ohio native withdrew from the competition in August amid her battle with the disease, the report said.
“Since my audition, my health has taken a turn for the worse and the fight with cancer is demanding all of my energy and attention. I am so sad to announce that I won’t be able to continue forward on this season of AGT,” the singer wrote in a heartbreaking post on Instagram.
Marczewski added, “Life doesn’t always give breaks to those that deserve it — but we knew that already.”
