Visual and multimedia artist Cesca joins Star Pop, drops debut single

Cesca's 'Love Sick (Pagmahalasakit)'

ABS-CBN’s Star Pop music label adds another promising talent to its family with visual and multimedia artist, singer, and songwriter Cesca, who recently dropped her debut single “Love Sick (Pagmahalasakit).”

Cesca, a 19-year-old multi-talented indie artist with entrancing vocals, sets out to represent the woes and wit of her generation through her emotionally mature songwriting that smoothly combines Tagalog and English lyrics.

As she enters a new phase in her artistic journey, the poetic and self-professed hopeless romantic has released “Love Sick (Pagmahalasakit),” an indie pop track written and composed by Cesca and produced by Star Pop head Rox Santos that explores the emotions of someone who feels anxious about a possible romance.

“The song talks about experiencing fear and unpreparedness in entering relationships, especially at an early stage where one has no basis of its consequences,” Cesca explained.

Maximizing her other talents, Cesca also shared on TikTok how she designed the cover of her single, which shows her face seemingly masked with a set of flowers that she illustrated herself.

Meanwhile, the new Kapamilya artist is currently featured on the cover of Spotify Philippines’ Fresh Finds editorial playlist, which lists down fresh music drops from budding singers. As of writing, “Love Sick (Pagmahalasakit)” is also placed first in the playlist’s lineup.
