Indigenous rights advocate and Liberal Party senatorial candidate Teddy Baguilat has been named as the 12th and final addition to the Senate slate of presidential candidate Leodegario “Ka Leody” De Guzman and running mate Walden Bello in the 2022 elections.

“Inaanunsyo rin natin na si Teddy Baguilat ang ika-labingdalawang kandidato sa pagka-senador na ineendorso ni Ka Leody (We announce that Teddy Baguilat is the 12th senatorial candidate endorsed by Ka Leody),” De Guzman’s team announced on Facebook on Friday, Feb. 18.
Baguilat and De Guzman share similar platforms on environmental protection, protecting the rights of indigenous communities, advocating for human rights, and democratic and transparent governance.
De Guzman and Bello’s complete Senate slate includes three Partido Lakas ng Masa party candidates, namely, labor leader and lawyer Luke Espiritu; environmental activists David D’angelo, and Roy Cabonegro.
Meanwhile, eight of the remaining senate slate members excluding Baguilat are guest candidates, namely: reelectionist Senators Risa Hontiveros, Leila De Lima; lawyers Chel Diokno, Neri Colmenares, Jose Sonny Matula, and Agnes Ballen; activist Samira Gutoc; and labor leader Elmer Labog.
Baguilat has also been named in the senatorial slate of presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo and her running mate Senator Francis Pangilinan.
