T1 has officially added Filipino DOTA 2 star Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte to its lineup for the upcoming DPC SEA Tour 2 on Mar. 14.

In an announcement on Sunday, Feb. 20, T1 revealed Gabbi’s promotion to the official roster after playing stand-in for Nuengnara “23Savage” Teeremahanon in the SEA DPC Winter Tour Regional Finals.
Gabbi is joining fellow Filipino stars Carlo “Kuku” Palad and Karl “Karl” Jayme and Indonesian players Kenny “Xepher” Deo and Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon for the second tour of the 2022 DPC season.
With Gabbi in the fold, T1 had a solid run in the upper bracket or the regional finals to secure a seat in the Grand Finals where it faced fellow SEA giant Boom Esports. The squad however fell to the Indonesia-based team that also featured Filipino stars Timothy “Tims” Randrup and Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer, 3-2. The team won 130 DPC points and $25,000 cash prize for finishing second.
The fate of 23savage with the squad remains unclear although he’s still currently in the inactive roster of T1. He is also currently on loan to Thai squad Motivate.Trust Gaming for the on-going BTS Pro-Series Season 10 where T1 is also seeing action.
The team, however, suffered a shock defeat to the SEA DPC Division II team Lilgun, 2-0 before settling for a 1-1 draw against Filipino team Execration. T1 is set to face recently promoted Division I team Polaris Esports on Tuesday, Feb. 22
