The Las Pinas City government vaccinated a total of 11,575 kids aged 5 to 11 against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Vice Mayor April Aguilar has been personally visiting the Safari-and carnival-themed vaccination sites, distributing animal balloons and bags of candies to the children who are waiting for their turn to get the vaccine shot.
Mayor ImeldaAguilar said for the 12-17 age group, the city government has already administered 57,196 vaccines as first dose and 50,920 as second dose.
She said 90% of the Las Pinas population or 128% of the target population received the first dose of vaccine and 122% got the second dose.
The mayor has reiterated her call on the unvaccinated residents to get the COVID-19 jab for their own protection against the dreaded disease.
